Eavestrough installation in St. Catharines and across Niagara.
New eavestroughs and downspouts, sized to the roof and placed so water drains away from the foundation — not onto the walkway where it freezes. Gutter guards added where they're worth it.

What an installation quote should spell out
- Trough size and material
- Number and placement of downspouts
- Where each downspout discharges, and whether extensions are needed
- Fascia condition, and what happens if it needs repair
- Removal and disposal of the old eavestroughs
- Gutter guards, if they're worth it on your house
For homeowners
Most eavestrough problems are really downspout problems: water dumped beside the foundation or across a walkway. A new system is the chance to put the water somewhere sensible.

On a townhome complex, eavestroughs and downspouts decide where water goes on every building — and where ice forms on the walkways in winter.
- Downspouts placed away from walkways and entrances
- Scope per building
- Work scheduled around residents
- Pairs with a yearly cleaning visit

Talk to us about your propertiesRepair or replace?
Sagging runs, leaking seams and pulled-away hangers can often be repaired. Troughs that are rusted through, too small for the roof, or pitched the wrong way usually aren't worth patching.
If yours overflow in heavy rain even when they're clean, that's a sizing or downspout problem — and a cleaning won't fix it.
Are gutter guards worth it?
Guards keep most leaves out, so troughs need cleaning less often — but not never. Fine debris like seeds and shingle grit still gets through.
They pay off most on houses under heavy tree cover. On an open lot, a yearly cleaning is often the better value.

Questions
Eavestrough installation: common questions
How do I know if my eavestroughs are too small?
If they overflow in heavy rain even when they're clean, they're probably undersized for the roof area feeding them, or there aren't enough downspouts.
Can gutter guards go on existing eavestroughs?
Usually, if the troughs are in good shape and pitched properly. If they aren't, guards won't fix the underlying problem.
