Sod installation in St. Catharines and across Niagara.
A new lawn in a day, on a properly prepared base: old turf removed, grade corrected, topsoil in, sod laid and rolled. For new builds, renovations, and lawns that are past saving.

What a sod quote should spell out
- Removal of the existing lawn, and where it goes
- Grading, so water runs away from the house
- Topsoil: how much, and how deep
- Square footage of sod
- Rolling after install
- Watering instructions for the first weeks
For homeowners
Sod is only as good as what's under it. Most failed sod jobs are prep jobs — laid on compacted clay or the wrong grade — so that's where the quote puts the detail.

On a managed property, sod is how worn common areas, construction damage and failed patches get fixed in one visit instead of a season of reseeding.
- Patch and common-area repairs
- Timed for spring or early fall
- Watering instructions left with the site
- One contact for every property

Talk to us about your propertiesThe first two weeks
New sod needs water every day for the first couple of weeks, until the roots take hold. After that, water less often but more deeply.
Keep traffic off it until it's rooted. Lift a corner gently — if it resists, it's taking.

Questions
Sod installation: common questions
When is the best time to lay sod?
Spring and early fall, when it's cool and moist enough for roots to establish. Summer installs work too, but need more watering.
How soon can I walk on or mow new sod?
Keep traffic light for the first couple of weeks, until it's rooted. The first mow is usually two to three weeks after install.
Which areas do you cover?
St. Catharines (every part of the city), Niagara Falls (Mount Carmel, Chippawa and the Garner Road area), Thorold (Central Thorold, Confederation Heights, Rolling Meadows and Beaverdams), Fonthill, Niagara-on-the-Lake (Old Town, Virgil, Queenston, St. Davids and Glendale) and Welland. Close by and not sure? Ask — it's a quick answer.
