Escarpment Contracting

From commercial banking to grounds and snow.

Escarpment Contracting is owned by Mike Kevorkian, who left commercial banking to build a grounds and snow company for property managers and homeowners.

Where it started

Mike spent his career in Canadian commercial banking, at banks including Meridian and Scotiabank. Some of the clients he enjoyed working with most were property management companies, and he got to know how they run their buildings and what they need from the people they hire.

Why lawns

Alongside the banking, Mike always had a passion for lawn care and for solving problems. Escarpment Contracting is where the two meet: looking after properties properly, and fixing what's wrong instead of explaining it away.

Who it's for

Mike built Escarpment to serve property managers and homeowners alike. A manager looking after several sites and a homeowner looking after one want the same things: work done when it was promised, and someone who answers when they call.

How it's run

The habits come from banking: quotes in writing that spell out what's included, one point of contact, and staying in touch until the job is closed out.

How we work.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the property

Call or send the form. A rough idea of what you need is enough to start.

  2. 02

    We come and look

A walk of the site with you or your manager, so the quote reflects the actual property.

  3. 03

    You get it in writing

Scope, frequency and price on paper. No pressure, no surprises later.

  4. 04

    We do the work

On the schedule we agreed, with one person you can reach if anything changes.

Tell us about the property.

A home, a condo corporation, or a list of sites — same form. If it's more than one property, say so and we'll ask for the list.

Anything else to include?

A request, not a booking. No obligation.
